"Quarterback Attack with Mike Ditka" is a semi-FMV game designed for 3DO. The game allows the player to assume the role of a rookie quarterback making his debut in a major match. The entirety of the game revolves around this confrontation. The game begins with a video of a kickoff and return, following which the player can select from 110 plays, including 100 passing and 10 running options. In its core structure, the game revolves around the passing plays, where the game perspective transitions to a third-person view behind the quarterback, allowing the sights of incoming attackers. Players can zoom in on any receiver, make passes using a targeting cursor or scramble if no open player is found.

The meat of the game is on the passing plays, were you are switched to a 3rd person behind-the-quarterback view from which you can see oncoming rushers as well as zoom in on any receiver and via a targeting cursor make passes, or scramble if you don't find any open man, etc.
