Final Fantasy VI Advance: FF6A Font Modification is a ROM hack for the Game Boy Advance aimed at improving the small menu font of the US version of Final Fantasy VI Advance. It enhances the appearance of capital letters and adjusts other characters to resemble the font style seen in the European version. The hack also modifies the battle number font and converts the ATB bar into a solid progress indicator. No text overflow issues have been reported.
The small/menu font of the US version of Final Fantasy 6 Advance is unattractive and irritating to (at least) the author, especially the lowercase letter A (simply ugly) and the lowercase letter L (indistingushable from uppercase I). This ROM hack attempts to heighten the capital characters (based on the EU version of FF6A) and to adjust most other characters, making the overall font similar to Dawn of Souls' small font but also more faithful to the large font of FF6A.
Even though the lowercase L is 1 more pixel wide (to be more readable and discernable from uppercase I), no text overflows have been found (yet).
This ROM hack also modifies the battle number font and changes the ATB bar to be a (more straightforward) flat, solid progress bar.
