Metroid: Zero Mission: Gravity Fix is a fan-made patch for the Game Boy Advance version of Metroid: Zero Mission. This modification addresses gameplay concerns by adjusting gravity parameters to reduce Samus Aran's falling speed and enhancing her jumping mechanics to align more closely with the original game's feel. The patch maintains Samus's speed in lateral movements, improving overall maneuverability while preserving the integrity of bomb mechanics.
Never liked how Samus feels very heavy in this game, it feels off compared to all the other games in the series.
This patch aims to make Samus less heavy by adjusting gravity to be less severe making her fall slightly slower. Jumping height has been adjusted to match the vanilla game as closely as possible and bomb timer has been delayed a bit to make double/multi bomb jump still possible and not disrupt normal gameplay.
The result is that Samus retains her speed in all directions but down, resulting in maneuverable movement without feeling gravity weighing Samus down.
Metroid Advance Game Editor (MAGE) v1.3 was used to create this hack.
