Super Mario Advance 2 is an amazing game. In the past, people only made modifications to the SNES version of the game while ignoring the GBA version, because the GBA does not have a sound chip as good as the one in the SNES. After 3 years of research, oquendo has come to the conclusion that SMA2 has a lot of potential, because it is better optimized than the original SMW.
If you want, you can see the SMA2 hacking notes here: https://www.romhacking.net/documents/856/
So this hack was made using smallhacker's transplant tool, Lunar Magic, a little bit of hex editing and a lot of time. It only modifies the first 6 levels of the game and the intro cutscene, and is compatible with Asaki’s ‘
https://www.romhacking.net/hacks/470/‘ patch as well as Weario's ‘
https://www.romhacking.net/hacks/4411/‘ hack.
In the future, oquendo wishes to make more hacks like this. He is also very grateful to his friends in the Discord community for helping with creative ideas and research.
