Tetris: Tetris Highscore Save is a modification of the original Tetris for Game Boy, aimed at addressing the lack of a permanent save feature for high scores. This patch enables the saving of high score tables, preserving them even after the device is turned off. It is compatible with the original hardware and requires the application of the patch to the Tetris (World) (Rev A) ROM, along with a specific save file.
The original Tetris for Game Boy had no permanent save feature. As soon as you turned your Game Boy off, all the highscores were gone.
With this patch the highscore tables for Tetris will be saved forever.
It works on real hardware, too.
The patch needs to be applied to Tetris (World) (Rev A). (Often called V1.1)
You will also need to use the special "Tetris highscore save.sav" file found in the downloaded zip-file.
The hack was done completely by BennVenn. It was uploaded here with his permission.
