Astérix & Obélix XXL, a 2004 action-adventure video game, is an adaptation from the French comic Asterix. Set in 50 BC, it details the adventures of Gaulish warrior, Asterix, in his combat against the Romans. Despite seeming like a Roman numeral, XXL signifies 'extra extra large', referring to its numerous additional features. This game, titled Asterix & Obelix: Kick Buttix in the US for PlayStation 2, was succeeded by the sequel Astérix & Obélix XXL 2: Mission Las Vegum in 2005.
