Action 52: Action 52 Atari 2600 Graphics Edition is a fan-made modification for the Nintendo Entertainment System that transforms the graphics of the original Action 52 to resemble how it would appear on the Atari 2600. It retains all gameplay mechanics and glitches while correcting sprite visibility issues. Certain limitations include an invisible menu selection and unplayable games like Meong.
Ever wanted to play the game that started the videogame crash (or should have)? Action 52 Atari 2600 Graphics Edition replaces the original graphics with what would resemble the game if it was an Atari 2600 game. Changes include all graphics and palettes were corrected so that invisible parts of the game are now shown. None of the original glitches were fixed and so it is still possible to spontaneously die for no real reason.
Known issues:
-Title screen and intros are a single changing palette.
-Meong is unplayable. This is a limitation of the game itself.
-Menu selection is invisible so you will need to remember each game's location when selecting.
Presenting an equally effortless hack, just as the original game was, completely changing all graphics to look how they would if Action 52 was released for the Atari 2600.
Changes - All graphics including the intro screen, game selection screens (including names, you sort of have to remember what games are which as a trade-off for this type of hack.) The intro screen was also changed to be as pure as possible. Palettes were also changed so that sprites are now visible.
Action 52 (unl).nes - This hack was made using REV B as it contains the fewest amount of glitches, and also because it fixed Alfredo and Jigsaw allowing both games to play.
Notes - All games are fully playable.
