Bubble Bobble: Bubble Bobble Deluxe

Bubble Bobble Deluxe is a ROM hack of the classic NES game Bubble Bobble, released in 2018 to commemorate the original's 30th anniversary. The game features over 100 newly designed levels, enhanced graphics, and modified item mechanics. Players control Bub and Bob, capturing enemies in bubbles while navigating through a variety of challenges. The hack requires a compatible NES ROM to play.

Celebrating 30 years since the release of the original NES title, Bubble Bobble Deluxe features all new level designs, with over 100 levels to play! Bubble Bobble Deluxe also features some new graphics, tweaked items and colors, as well as new passwords.

Why hello there! :) Thank you for downloading my hack, Bubble Bobble Deluxe. I started making it back in 2015, and now released it in 2018, 30 years after the release of the original NES title. I had a blast making it, and I hope you enjoy playing it as much as I enjoyed making it!

In case you're new to playing ROM hacks, the .ips file included in this .zip file is a patch. It includes all of the changes that Bubble Bobble Deluxe contains over the original. In order to play Bubble Bobble Deluxe, you'll need an original NES Bubble Bobble ROM (Bubble Bobble (U) [!].nes, to be exact.) Once you have that, you'll need a program to apply this patch to the original ROM to create the Bubble Bobble Deluxe game.

For Windows users, I recommend Lunar IPS, which can be found here: https://www.romhacking.net/utilities/240/

For macOS users, I recommend MultiPatch, which can be found here: https://www.romhacking.net/utilities/746/

Open the program, then load your original NES Bubble Bobble ROM and the Bubble Bobble Deluxe .ips patch that was included in this .zip file, and then you can save your newly created Bubble Bobble Deluxe ROM! You can then use an NES emulator to play it.
