Castlevania: Castlevania Dracula Edition is a modified version of the original Castlevania for the Nintendo Entertainment System. Set approximately 200 years before Castlevania III, players assume the role of Mathias Conqvst, who seeks to conquer the castle of the demon lord Olrox in his quest to become Count Dracula. The game features revamped graphics and altered gameplay elements while maintaining the core mechanics of its predecessor.
