Mario Bros.: Chozo Bros 1+2 is a graphics hack of the original Mario Bros. game for the Nintendo Entertainment System, released in 1993 as part of the Classic Series. Developed by Zero Meaning to celebrate the 35th anniversary of Metroid, it replaces characters and enemies with those from the Metroid universe, introducing players to Samus Aran and enhancements tailored for two-player mode. The hack requires PAL systems for optimal performance.
This is a full graphics hack that give Mario Bros. (Classic Serie) a more Metroid-like flavour. It was created in celebration of Metroid's 35th anniversary. Rather than being just a lazy gfx swap, many elements were either created or heavily edited specifically for this hack. The player characters, for example, are completely redrawn. There's also a new title screen and several text modifications to better fit the theme.

Missiles are dispensed after you beat baddies. Collect them for more points.

Please note that this hack is for the special edition Mario Bros. (Classic Serie) from 1993 that was only released in Europe. For this reason, the game will only run at the correct speed on PAL systems.
FCEUX will play in PAL automatically if '(Europe)' is in the file name.
For an added challenge, play on a non-PAL system. But beware, everything will be a little faster!
