Della Duck takes on her greatest challenge yet - to discover the legendary Five Lost Treasures and challenge Scrooge McDuck's title as the "Richest Duck in the World!"

This ROMhack makes Della Duck playable in place of Scrooge McDuck, in the 1989 NES Ducktales video game. Character graphics have been redrawn, with a new title screen and ending screen. Some text has also been rewritten, with a new font, and sprite construction tweaked.

HDPacks are also provided for the emulator Mesen. These replace the graphics with more colors than the NES is capable of.

Mother to Huey, Dewey and Louie, Della Duck was played by Paget Brewster in the 2017 Ducktales series. She had been a minor implied character in previous versions. Della once went on adventures with her brother Donald and her uncle Scrooge McDuck (the richest duck in the world). She has been trapped on the Moon for many years (as long as the boys have been alive). She survives on oxygenated gum. Losing a leg, she replaces it with an artificial one. She discovers a race of people on the Moon, and gets back to earth just in time to fight off an invasion, and reconnect with her family. She can be reckless to a fault, but nothing can stop Della Duck!

In Ducktales for your Nintendo Entertainment System, Della Duck takes on her greatest challenge yet - to discover the legendary Five Lost Treasures and challenge Scrooge McDuck's title as the "Richest Duck in the World!"

Della must trek through the treacherous Amazon jungle, down into the diamond mines of Africa, through the snowy mountains of the Himalayas, and back to the Moon! In a haunted mansion in Transylvania she'll face Dracula Duck, greedy Flintheart Glomgold, and the sorceress Magica De Spell.

Join Della and the Ducktales gang - Della's three sons, Huey, Dewey and Louie, and Webby Vanderquack - on their search. Meet gung-ho flying ace Launchpad McQuack, Fenton Crackshell-Cabrera aka the super-powered Gizmoduck, master inventor Gyro Gearloose, Bubba the cave duck, and the loyal Bentina Beakley AKA Agent 22. She'll have access to her Uncle Scrooge's money and gadgets, and she'll uncover hidden treasures and risk it all!

DuckTales is a platform game developed and published by Capcom, and based on the 1987 Disney animated TV series of the same name, which was itself based on the Uncle Scrooge comics by Carl Barks. It was first released in North America for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1989 and was ported to the Game Boy in 1990.

Produced by key personnel from the Mega Man series, DuckTales sold over a million copies worldwide on each system, becoming Capcom's best-selling title for both platforms. The game was praised for its tight control, unique and non-linear gameplay and bright presentation, and is often regarded as one of the best titles for the NES, appearing on numerous "Best of" lists.

DuckTales 2 is a platform video game developed by Make Software and published by Capcom. It was released on the Nintendo Entertainment System in early 1993. The title was ported to the Game Boy handheld system in Japan and North America at the end of the year.

This is an IPS patch which you can apply to a ROM of the Ducktales game.

HDPacks are also provided for the emulator Mesen. These replace the graphics with PNGs which provide more colors than the NES is capable of. This is the best-looking way to play this hack.

There is also a second HDPack which allows you to play as Della in Ducktales 2 (1993). Move these folders into your Mesen HDPacks directory.
