Mega Man 3: Doc Robot Rework is a patch for the Nintendo Entertainment System that modifies specific Doc Robot stages by removing the dependence on Rush Marine in Gemini Man's stage and Rush Jet in Needle Man's stage. It introduces a climbable block in Flash Man's boss room to prevent a soft-lock situation caused by depleted Rush Coil energy. The patch offers a regular version and a 'Light' version focused on the climbable block.
This patch removes the necessity for Rush Marine in Gemini Man's Doc Robot stage,
and Rush Jet in Needle Man's Doc Robot stage. Without weapon energy for either Rush Marine or Jet, the stages became unbeatable and you were forced to game-over yourself.
It also adds a block you can climb on after Doc Robot's Flash Man boss room (also in Gemini's Doc stage).
Originally, you were meant to use Rush Coil here, but without any energy left (and no pits/enemies to die from)
you were basically stuck, causing a soft-lock.
