Super Mario Bros.: Hard Mode is a modified version of the original 1985 platformer for the Nintendo Entertainment System. This hack enhances difficulty by replacing Goombas with Buzzy Beetles, increasing enemy speed, shortening platforms, and allowing advanced enemies and hazards from later worlds to appear in earlier levels. Notably, piranha plants from the first level are excluded.
