Super Mario Bros.: Mario's Keep is a fan-made hack for the Nintendo Entertainment System that transforms the classic platforming experience into a puzzle-based adventure. Players navigate through 25 uniquely designed levels, employing strategic jumps and room sequencing to rescue the princess while discovering hidden secrets. Enhancements include new graphics, adjusted game mechanics, and varied music across multiple versions.

The version without music does contain sound effects and works perfect if you prefer to play games with your favorite music in the background. Choose one of the IPS files to patch Super Mario Bros. (W) [!] -- use Lunar IPS or MultiPatch to patch.
HINT: Sometimes you might need to take a hit. It's not always good to be big.

Remember to use A+Start on the title screen if you get a game over. When you beat the game you will be able to choose world with the B button.

Since people started speedrunning this hack in 2020 I thought I might take care of some bugs. While I do recommend the 1.3 version with new graphic and features I have also included the 1.21 version that is almost identical to the 1.2 release featured in most speedruns. (bugfixes specified below).
