v1.01 - FIXED GAME OVER INDUCING GLITCH DUE TO SCROLLING ISSUES WITH WILY STAGE 3 CHECKPOINTS. REVERTED MIDDLE CHECKPOINT BACK TO ORIGINAL POSITION.
Mega Man 2 Megamix is a crossover hack where 4 patches in total are combined, with the addition of a few personal tweaks by the author, in order to give a more "refined" Mega Man 2 experience. None of the levels in the game have been remotely touched (with the exception of a slight edit to the last stage). Instead, most of the changes are quality-of-life improvements and edits to overall make a somewhat more balanced game.
The hacks (and their altered content are as follows):

Mega Man 2 - QoL Fixes by Ratheronfire

Mega Man 2 - Weapon Rebalance by Nali

>Faster fire rate for Quick Boomerang
>Air Man's tornado patterns adjusted to be more reasonably dodgeable, although still roughly difficult.
>*TWEAKED* Altered weapon consumption for each weapon.

>*TWEAKED* Adjusted checkpoints in Wily Stages 1-4 and 6 (added boss checkpoints in Wily Stages 1-4 originally, altered Wily Stage 6's checkpoints, leading to the only stage layout change in the entire game.)
>*REMOVED* Mega Man's health and weapon bars fill up faster in-game (Weapon Hack has a better implementation)

Mega Man II Weapon Hack by omega_rugal
>Health and weapon bars universally fill faster
>Leaf Shield can now be used while moving, and can be shot in any 4 direction with the B button
>Crash Bomber can now be detonated manually with the B button once it latches onto a surface, and no longer has a timed detonation
>*TWEAKED* Time Stopper no longer drains all your energy in one use, instead freezing time in usable bursts of 1.5 seconds (1.75 without startup animation), for a total of 21 seconds (24.5 without startup animation), more than twice the length of the original and now able to kill Quick Man by itself, Mega Man also becomes invulnerable (lasted 4 seconds (4.25 without startup animation) in original hack, for a total of 56 seconds (59.5 with startup animation), nerfed due to absurdity)
>*TWEAKED* Atomic Fire charges faster, skips first charge phase, and altered palettes (simply skips first phase and alters palettes in original hack, mixed with Weapon Rebalance)
>*TWEAKED* Altered weapon consumption for each weapon.
>Atomic Fire buffed to 0/2/4 energy per shot depending on charge level (0/1/3 energy in original hack, mixed with Weapon Rebalance)
>Air Shooter buffed to 1 energy per shot

>Quick Boomerang nerfed to 1 energy per 4 shots (unchanged in original hack)
>Time Stopper buffed to 2 energy per use
>Metal Blade nerfed to 1 energy per shot (unchanged in original hack, mixed with Weapon Rebalance)
>Crash Bomber buffed to 2 energy per shot (1 energy per shot in original hack, mixed with Weapon Rebalance)
>Item 1 buffed to 1 energy per use (infinite in original hack, reverted due to absurdity)
>Item 2 and 3 energy consumption halved (infinite in original hack, mixed with Weapon Rebalance)
>*REMOVED* Start out with one free E-Tank in your inventory (too generous)
>*REMOVED* Floor friction increased to mimic future Mega Man games (I'm only removing this bc I don't want negative reviews for something as minor as this even though this makes zero difference and people always praise its removal when it's MM1 but complain when it's this game ksdjajksdjkkasdsoadpd)
