Mega Man 4: Mega Man IV Simplified

The purpose of this hack was to make the original Mega Man IV much easier for gamers that find games that aren’t too incredibly tough more enjoyable.

Key changes:

- Every special weapon uses only 1 bar each (Charged Pharoah Shot still consumes 2 bars)

- Every boss takes considerably more damage

- All bottomless pits and spikes are eliminated or arranged to be far less hazardous

- Small Capsules refuel 5 units and Large Capsules refuel 15 units for both Life and Weapons

- More 1-Ups and Energy Tanks are available

- Mega Man can hold more lives and Energy Tanks in reserve (the game displays weird digits when the player has more than nine, but does have more than nine)

This hack was created with the RockMan 4 Editor.

This hack has also been tested and verified to work on the Everdrive N8 and plays great on original NES hardware!

This ROM hack of the American version of Mega Man IV has been redesigned to be a much simpler game compared to the original.
Be sure to use the Mega Man IV(U)(PRG1)[!].nes GoodNES version for best patching results.

Bonus Material included:

- The original version of Mega Man IV Simplified is included as a bonus patch. The key difference between 1.0 and 1.3 is that no Boss is immune to the Mega Buster (originally Dr. Cossack and the Wily Ship required Special Weapons. Please note: The Special Weapons that were required made the battle easier compared to using the standard Buster) and few other smaller fixes.

- Screenshots of a Mega Man IV hack I've been working on for about a year and still in progress. This hack will be a complete overhaul hack including all new graphics, new levels, and a full plot. The Robot Masters will be:

Coin Man, Life Man, Ghoul Man, Royal Woman, Bulb Woman,
Hail Man, Dig Man, and Puff Man.
