This hack turns a game based on a Japanese TV show cloned from Miami Vice, into an (un) official Miami Vice videogame on NES for very first time.
The original game was developed by Micronics, responsible for titles with low production values such as Super Pitfall or Athena. That in the case of Mottomo Abunai Dekka (literally "Dangerous Cops") translates into poor graphics, ridiculous physics and a duration of about 20-25 minutes. On the other hand, its strong points are a 2-player cooperative mode and abundant cinematics that narrate a story of two super cops against a drug cartel with chases, kidnappings, police corruption, etc. That made it the best candidate for this hack.
The rar file includes two patches, one for the English version and after some requests, one for the Spanish version. For more information you can check the README files, available in both languages.
Note: You can apply the patches directly on the original game.

1) Introduction
First of all, thanks for download this hack, which basically turns a game based on a Japanese TV show cloned from Miami Vice, into an
(un) official Miami Vice videogame on NES for very first time.
The original game was developed by Micronics, responsible for titles with low production values such as Super Pitfall or Athena. That
in the case of Mottomo Abunai Dekka (literally "Dangerous Cops") translates into poor graphics, ridiculous physics and a duration of
about 20-25 minutes. On the other hand, its strong points are a 2-player cooperative mode and abundant cinematics that narrate a story
of two super cops against a drug cartel with chases, kidnappings, police corruption, etc. That made it the best candidate for this
hack.
2) Features list
Miami Vide: The Videogame Ver. 1.0
● Title screen redrawn
● Added a text font specially created for this project
● Changes in biggest part of the sprites and scenarios
● Cutscenes redrawn
● Using Gil Galad’s excellent English translation as a starting point, the entire plot has been contextualized or rewritten to
suit the characters and tone of the TV Show
● A game flaw commonly observed by players is how difficult it’s to distinguish projectiles from the background. Now, they have
that typical “candy ball” NES look that makes them easy to see
● Added some fun cameos and Easter Eggs
Miami Vide: The Videogame Ver. 1.1
● Fixed some small typos on cutscene dialogs
Miami Vide: The Videogame Ver. 1.2
● The biggest novelty of this version is the inclusion of an additional patch in the rar file with the hack translated 100% into
Spanish. Now all Spanish speakers can enjoy easely the story and dialogues
● After several user comments, some extra work is done to fix some grammatical inconsistencies in the dialogues of the English
version
● Some minor aesthetic changes are made to improve the overall appearance
