Narc Uncut is a modified version of the NES port of the arcade game NARC. This hack reinstates previously censored content, including graphic violence, drug use, and sexual references, more closely aligning with the original arcade experience. Key features include restored title screen elements, redesigned graphics, and added blood effects, enhancing the game's overall intensity.
By Nintendo standards the NES port of NARC is actually still pretty hardcore and complete. However there were some censorship such as removing drug use and toned down violence. This patch puts most of the cut material back in.
- Title screen includes bloodsplatter, badges and different text on car to resemble the arcade original more closely
- All reference to K.W.A.K. restored to K.R.A.K.
- Briefing screen drugs restored (joint smoking etc) and text more closely resembles the original
- Sex references and nude poster restored on the Sunset Strip level
- Cannabis sign and plants redesigned to more closely resemble arcade original
- Mr Big's cigar smoking on portrait restored
- Hud redesigned and various minor cleanups on player and enemy sprites
- Blood added
