Monster Party: Parody World Revisited is an enhanced version of the original Monster Party for the Nintendo Entertainment System. This remake features improved graphics, refined text, and updated enemy and boss sprites based on prototype designs. Notable fixes include a corrected key glitch in Round 7, requiring players to defeat all bosses to progress. The game offers a nostalgic yet polished experience for fans of the classic title.
What originally began as a simple "restoration" grew into a full-blown improvement of the original game!
Changes include:
-New Intro/Ending text, or at least a greatly cleaned-up version that reads like it was written by an actual English-speaking human being.
-New Boss text, that's more accurate to the original prototype (sorry, no Mark Soup).
-Most Enemy/Boss sprites changed to the prototype versions, with some recolors (only the Pumpkin Boss remains unchanged, and the jiangshi enemies in Round 7 are still ghosts, as their behavior was altered for the English release).
-Some of the "uglier" Rounds have been given a makeover, mainly palette changes.
-Mark's (and Bert's) sprites are now red in-game, to match his cutscene appearance.
-The infamous Round 7 key glitch is fixed! All three bosses must be defeated to advance.
