Super Mario Bros. 3: SMBPHD is a kaizo modification for the Nintendo Entertainment System, released on February 14, 2024. The game features seven main worlds filled with challenging platforming and unpredictable elements, as well as an unlockable eighth world. Players must collect secret keys to progress or choose alternative paths, optimizing the experience for skilled players familiar with kaizo mechanics.

SMBPHD has 7 main worlds of challenging platforming, kaizo tricks, and yes, some trolls for good measure. There are many secrets to be found; unlock World 8 by finishing World 7 with at least 7 secret keys in the inventory. Don't care about getting to World 8? Use the keys to open different routes and skip levels. This game will challenge even the most experienced kaizo players, particularly the latter worlds. Players are advised to not begin kaizo SMB3 education at the PhD level, but rather complete other educational milestones first (below).
