Unofficial continuation of the project started by Jabu to improve Sonic for NES.


This hack greatly modifies a large part of the game's resources to provide a better experience, adding a new soundtrack, redesigning levels, renewing the graphics, and introducing a series of new elements and mechanics, among many other features.

+ Added best ending, improved standart ending.
+ Added chaos emeralds and Super Sonic (except some sprites).

+ Fixed "Zone" text instead of "Stage" (Special Stage).
+ Get life for every 200 rings (Special Stage).
+ Improved physics - Sonic no slides while in water.
+ Improved physics - bounce from objects while holding button (matches MD).
+ Improved randomization (Final Boss).
+ Improved scrolling engine to support highspeeds with SuperSonic.
+ Increased inviciblity time (matches MD).
+ Low and high lava splashes (similar to MD).
+ No scrolling 'artifacts' in overscan area.
+ Point counting can be skipped.
+ Sonic can destroy monitors from side attack (matches MD).
+ Sonic can kill badniks when starting spindash.
+ Sonic starts levels on ground.
+ Spikes Badnik now can be killed from side attack (matches MD).
+ Stop timer on signpost and capsule touch (matches MD).
+ Stores up to 99 lives (Drawn max 9).

Graphics:
+ Added Boss Eggman death animation (Labyrinth)
+ Added explosion sprite for monitors.
+ Added new drowning anim.
+ Added water splash.
+ Improvents in Eggman graphics.
+ Improvents in Sonic graphics.
+ Proper animals colors on all levels.
+ Some updates in levels graphics.
+ Various fixes in objects graphics.

Music and sfx:
+ Added about 10 new sound effects, update of existing ones.
+ DPC Voice Sega.
+ Improved music engine to support also pal and dendy.
+ Improved soundtrack and added yet more music tracks.
+ Swap duty cycles options for dendy-clones.

Bugfixes:
+ Breathing a bubble no longer changes inviciblity music to level music.
+ Capsule can't hold or override anim of dead Sonic on timeout (Capsule activation 09:59 bug).
+ Changes in boss attacks (Star light).
+ Fix in draw some objects, when it drawn with more than 1 screen distance.
+ Fix in some enemies attacks (uni-uni, wasps), delay for wasps and crabs.
+ Fix in springs physics when multiple springs placed in a row.
+ Fix in springs physics when multiple springs placed in a row.
+ Fixed L/R collision with monitor at high speeds.
+ Fixed boss camera bug (Labyrinth).
+ Fixed bug with Sonic speed overflow (when Sonic instanly stops).
+ Fixed bug with broken time bonus.
+ Fixed disappearing of some rings (Levels).
+ Fixed incorrect collision sizes of several enemies.
+ Fixed inviciblity non working vs some objects and bkg.
+ Fixed many bugs with "final" boss, and improved it's randomizer.
+ Fixed not always proper sprite direction of eggman.
+ Fixed possible game freezes.
+ Fixed rare Sonic lock bug when getting hit (Star light).
+ Fixed various bugs in physics with Sonic collisions vs background and objects.
+ Fixed various graphics glitches.
+ Level-specified animals from capsule instead of fixed.
+ Sonic physics fix: no skid in water.

+ Improvements when using the springs:
- When he climbs Sonic no longer suffers an automatic overtaking.
- Upon falling Sonic automatically adopts his ball attack.
- When bouncing off a star spring, Sonic bounces into a ball.

+ Springs now have sound effects (Recycled sound)

• The main core of "BizHawk" is incompatible with our hack, attached is an image that illustrates how to solve it by changing core in that emulator.

• We decided to focus only on the main version, so all unrelated content is removed (Hummer Complete, Family Kid, etc. - It will be published separately).

• At the moment there is a small bug in a specific sector in Spring Yard Zone, a GIF is attached to illustrate it better.
