Super Mario Bros.: Super Mario Bros. Stored Item is a modification for the Nintendo Entertainment System that introduces an item storage system enabling players to hold up to two power-ups simultaneously. When Mario takes damage, the player can press the select button to activate the stored item. This enhancement requires ROM expansion using the MMC3 mapper and features an item box in the status bar.
