Super Mario Bros.: Super Mario Co-Op Coin Challenge is a fan-made modification released on June 29, 2022, for the Nintendo Entertainment System. In this hack, all coins are transformed into enemies that harm Mario upon contact, while Luigi remains unaffected and aids in navigating the perilous levels. Players can experience the game in single-player or co-op mode, contending with deceptive enemies disguised as power-ups.

STORY
The Mushroom Kingdom has fallen under a spell, all coins are now enemies and will hurt Mario! Mario will bounce on the coins just like regular enemies, but watch out! The coins are cursed and strange things will happen if you touch them.
Luckily Luigi is immune to the curse and can help his brother to navigate through the dangers. There are however lots of other enemies in disguise, camouflaged into powerups trying their best to make life hard for our heroes.
DISCLAIMER
This game is designed to be played in either single player or co-op mode. Player 1 is going to be able to finish the game on their own - although there may be some paths that can only be accessed by Player 2.
PATCH
The hack is built upon the two player hack by CorpseGrinder and Ti. Just patch the original version of Super Mario Bros. with the ips provided in this download.
SHARED LIVES PATCH
An alternative patch with Mario and Luigi sharing lives and 1ups. Just patch the original version of Super Mario Bros. with the ips provided in this download.
