Set in the Mushroom Kingdom, the game features two interconnected storylines. Players navigate Mario and Luigi's adventure alongside Selz and friends, battling enemies and exploring five worlds with new characters, items, backgrounds, and gameplay mechanics. The hack includes 22 stages and two secret worlds.
