This is a ROM hack of Super Mario Bros. for NES. It contains some elements of Super Mario Bros. 2 Japanese version, including:
- SMB2J graphics
- Poison mushrooms
- Upside-down pipes
- Power-ups in invisible blocks
- Wind (levels 5-2, 6-1, 7-3, 8-2); no leaves mark the wind unlike SMB2J
- Clouds instead of mushroom platforms
Because of the additions, the ROM is slightly bigger than a normal SMB1 ROM (it's the 41488-byte "trained" ROM only hacked to have SMB2J stuff instead of the trainer). Patch it to Super Mario Bros. (JU).nes (with title screen). I've heard that it doesn't work on Nestopia, so try FCEUX or another emulator.
WARNING: There is a bug in 4-1. Do not touch the flag while the surfing lift is on the screen or you may get stuck! I may fix this in a later version.
This hack has 3 warp zones. Most things are rearranged a lot from the original, so if you think you know which levels are underground, underwater, repeated, have coin heavens, etc., you may be mistaken!
Special thanks to Onyx for testing my hack. I hope you enjoy it! ^_^
