Wizardry: Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord is a classic dungeon-crawler RPG originally released for various platforms, including the Nintendo Entertainment System. Known for its intense difficulty, the game features complex spell names that may confuse players. The Wizardry I spell disambiguation patch, created by Leviathan Mist, simplifies these spell names for easier understanding, enhancing the overall gameplay experience.
Wizardry is a dungeon-crawler RPG, ported to many platforms. Notorious for its difficulty, I'd still consider it one of the quintessential RPGs of the 1980's.
The main problem I had with this game were the spell names. I could never figure out which spell does what, and having to go back and look at the manual to figure it out was just a hassle. This hack translates the spell names into something that your average gamer can understand.

Some of the spell names were inspired by other games, such as Final Fantasy and Dragon Warrior. Most of them are derived from the spell list I found at (http://www.tk421.net/wizardry/wiz15spells.shtml).
