Some would think there are no major bugs in Wizardry 1 but after playing a while would see that the monsters melee hit chances remain the same for all displayed AC values.
After a more in-depth look it turned out to be a simple mistake. AC is calculated normally but not taken into account for the attack roll. A 1 byte change of code was all that was needed.
Also fixed an annoying typo (”spitits” to “spirits”).
If you want to use this patch, unzip the .lua file and apply to Wizardry - Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord (U) [!].nes using lunar IPS.exe or similar.
