Mario Party 3: Seasonal Woodland is a Nintendo 64 game set in a serene forest where time behaves unusually, allowing a year to pass in just a day. Featuring distinct seasons that each last five turns, the game alters board events and paths based on the current season. The design incorporates elements from Mario Party 6, Click Clock Wood, and Paper Mario to create a dynamic gameplay experience.
The Seasonal Woodland is a tranquil and remote forest that only a select few people have taken the time to explore. It is said that the passage of time is different within it, to the point where the passage of a year can feel like the passage of a typical day. This forest is home to a wide variety of animals throughout the year, and each season brings with it a new set of environmental challenges.
This board was designed with the intention of combining a few different ideas, such as the day and night cycle from Mario Party 6, some visual and auditory elements from Click Clock Wood (Banjo-Kazooie), and a little bit of Paper Mario.
Core Mechanics:
The starting season will be randomized each game.
Each season lasts 5 turns. The order cycle is [Spring->Summer->Autumn->Winter]
Board events and available paths change based on the season that is active.
