Super Mario 64 Stars of the Beast is a ROM hack released by Milgram355 on May 25, 2018. Featuring 140 stars, it introduces various levels with unique mechanics such as slippery terrain and wind effects. While considered easier than some other hacks, it is rated highly for its difficulty. Notable course designs pay homage to Iron Maiden, Mario Party, and Pokémon. A sequel titled Stars of the Beast 2: Legend of the Crystal Stars was released in the following year.
