Mario must reach Star Valley and use its space-blast cannon to reach Bowser’s Star Base to defeat him. Mario needs 80 power stars to open Bowser’s STAR VALLEY door. STAR VALLEY has a secret entrance. Toads in the first overworld say Bowser stole the King Star from the Star Valley and plans to use its “unusual powers” to cause “catastrophic” problems. The King Star held the other power stars together, so since it was stolen, the 97 stars appear everywhere. Another toad in Star valley says he will “absorb all of the star power (apparently all planets have star power) from the planet”. Then “overwhelm the planet causing a vicious reaction that will result in the destruction of the planet” . Mario must collect power stars to reach Star Valley. He must defeat Bowser by shooting a “Space-blast cannon” (a bob-omb cannon) to the star where his base is.
