Beetle King is a Nintendo DS game developed by Warashi that invites players to explore a magical forest while capturing various insect species. Players collect data on these creatures through exploration and can also trade insects with others. Initially released as part of the Simple DS Series Vol. 3, it is known in Japan as The Mushitori Oukoku, and published by D3, 505 GameStreet, and Proein.
In the game the player can explore a magical wood and catch different species of insects, in order to collect data on all the creatures that live in the forest.
