This small mod changes the astronaut seen in the title screen from Biff to the person you actually play as, Gemma. The patcher never noticed this until he picked the game back up this year, but this mismatch with gameplay--retained on the box art, no less--is extremely frustrating, both because of how flagrantly wrong it is, and in that it denies the only woman you play as in the campaign her proper spotlight. But, thanks to the generosity of the creator of the program NitroPaint, who was willing to take much time to get that program to support images from LEGO Battles, this error (or not) has been rectified.
NEW: In version 1.0a, the order of units in the shop has been swapped, so that the unit you play as is first in the list, like for the other factions. Other data has been edited accordingly so you still play as Gemma in the story.
NEW: Version 1.1 is a hotfix that swaps the little mini-circle icons for the two to be correct, and ups the version number in a more proper amount.
P.S. The patcher is not an artist. He literally cannot draw to save his life on paper, let alone using pixels. So, a heartfelt apology is offered for how it all looks. If someone who can actually draw would like to make a better version, the patcher not only condones that, but actively encourages it! To aid in such a quest, let it be known that the files within the ROM edited by this patch are UI/AllinOne/SplashScreen.NCGR and UI/AllinOne/SplashScreen.NCLR.
COMPATIBILITY
Like the author's other patches for this game, this patch is incompatible with everything else made by OEA for LEGO Battles. However, a separate All-in-One patch page is forthcoming.
CREDITS
As alluded to in the description, the patcher really, really cannot thank Garhoogin, the creator of NitroPaint, enough. This wonderous utility can be found at https://github.com/Garhoogin/NitroPaint, and can read, write, and manipulate graphics files from LEGO Battles and indeed most any DS game. The patcher cannot recommend it enough.
Garhoogin also reverse-engineered the compression format of this game, which was needed to edit the data to swap the places in the swap. So, seriously, thanks again, this entire little scene would not exist without you.
