Luminous Arc is a tactical role-playing game for the Nintendo DS, featuring an opening movie sung in Japanese without captions on the lower screen. To enhance player experience, the creator edited the bottom image to display condensed English lyrics. This adaptation maintained the core message while abbreviating repeated lines. The game combines strategy with an engaging narrative set in a fantasy world.
Luminous Arc has the curious condition of having an opening movie sung in Japanese, but without any sort of captions shown on the nearly-empty bottom screen. Actually hacking in said captions is a bit too advanced for the author, so he did the next best thing and edited the still image on the bottom to show the English lyrics. Unfortunately, it had to be condensed a good bit to fit (see the image), but oh well. Do note that no actual words have been lost, just the repeated lines and a few abbreviations.
