Pokémon Pearl: Slotmod is a ROM hack of Pokémon Pearl for Nintendo DS that enhances gameplay by integrating GBA slot Pokémon into the Sinnoh region. This version features new trainers, modifies existing ones including Gym Leaders, and allows players to complete the Sinnoh Pokédex in one playthrough. Additional events, wild Pokémon encounters, and trade evolutions have been introduced to enrich the gaming experience.
Pokémon Pearl Slotmod is a rom hack of Pokémon Pearl which adds the GBA slot inserts into the main game of Pokémon Pearl, along with other changes, it adds in new trainers, modifies some existing ones including the Gym Leaders and makes it possible to complete the Sinnoh dex in a single playthrough.
Things that were changed:
-The GBA insert pokémon have been added to the main game of Pokémon Pearl, they mostly have the same locations as they would have if someone were to insert their respective GBA game, however, some were changed around a bit as to make them more avaible.
-Tropius and Tangela were also added in the wild, mostly because in original Diamond and Pearl, those 2 were nowhere to be found.
-Movesets were changed as to not make some of the Pokémon that appear early not too strong compared to others.
-Trainers were changed as to make them use the newly avaible Pokémon, this is mostly due to Sinnoh's whole thing of making the player see every single Pokémon in the sinnoh dex
-Trade evolutions have all been made possible through level up/holding the specific item while leveling up
°A couple of new events were added to help the player complete the Sinnoh pokédex!
Main game:
-A trade in Solaceon was added which involves giving a Misdreavus for a Murkrow (this is because Murkrow is exclusive to diamond, with the counterpart of Misdreavus).
-A Team Galactic grunt was added in Lake Valor which gives you their Stunky after deciding to quit (This is because Stunky is exclusive to pokémon diamond).
-The Ruin Maniac will now become a Trader for fossils, allowing you to get the Skull fossil in exchange for a Shield one.
-A new encounter with Gengar has been added in the Old Chateau.
-A sidequest involving Sableyes with them having a chance to hold an odd keystone.
Post Game:
-The Regis are avaible for capture, thus allowing you to fight Regigigas (Regirock is in Maniac Tunnel, Regice in Mt. Coronet and Registeel in Iron Island)
-A Dialga event was added in Celestic Town.
-A Manaphy event was added in Sandgem Town.
-Events for Darkrai, Shaymin and a new Team Galactic plot to coincide with Arceus.
-After beating the game, you will be given your gendered counterpart's starter, and in the fight area, you will be given an egg of your rival's starter
