Metal Gear Online is a multiplayer game for the PlayStation 2 that first appeared on the Persistence disc included with Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence. Subsequently, it received a standalone release exclusively in Japan. The game features various modes typical of online shooters, such as Capture and Team Deathmatch, as well as a unique sneaking mode where one player controls Snake while others serve as guards tasked with protecting a microfilm.
