The Idolmaster SP – Missing Moon is a raising simulation game developed for the PlayStation Portable. Part of the broader Idolmaster series, it allows players to assume the role of a producer tasked with guiding aspiring idols, including Chihaya Kisaragi, Azusa Miura, and Ritsuko Akizuki, as they strive for fame amidst competition from rival idol Miki Hoshii, who debuts from a rival agency.

The games include three game modes: two single-player and one multiplayer mode for up to three players. The story is told from the perspective of a producer in charge of training 10 prospective pop idols on their way to stardom, and each version of SP features different idols.
