Final Fantasy V for PlayStation is a port of the original Super Famicom title, featuring enhanced opening and ending cutscenes along with gameplay improvements, such as the ability to sprint. While largely similar to its predecessor, the game utilizes CD-ROM technology, resulting in longer load times. It marks the first international release of Final Fantasy V, included in Final Fantasy Anthology in North America and Europe, and as part of Final Fantasy Collection in Japan.
