Vandal Hearts II, also known as Vandal Hearts II – Tenjou no Mon, is a tactical role-playing game developed for the PlayStation. Building upon the original title's legacy, this sequel implements a turn-based combat system where allied and enemy units alternate turns. The game introduces various updates, including bug fixes and an advanced gameplay mode, enhancing the strategic depth of battles.
Many fans of the original Vandal Hearts would probably like to see a similar combat system in the continuation of the cult game (after all, some were disappointed that in Vandal Hearts 2 all units moving at the same time). This modification allows allied and enemy units to take turns (the classic order - enemies move after the allies have finished their turn). As it turned out, this option significantly complicates the fight.
Changes in v1.1:
- Fixed dual move when enemy can't reach player (path is blocked).
- Activated "Advanced Mode" by default (does not apply to a previously saved game).
- Unlocked hidden items counter (displays the number of hidden items in the current location).
Changes in v1.2:
- Fixed dual move when enemy becomes small (spell effect).
