Dungeon Explorer, an action role-playing game developed by Westone and Hudson Soft, was launched on the Sega Mega-CD in 1995. Although it shares its name with an earlier version that debuted on the PC Engine in 1989, the Mega-CD Dungeon Explorer is not a remake. Though related, the Mega-CD insight was fashioned to reflect more of the style seen in Atari's Gauntlet. The game is exclusive to the Sega platform.
