Shining Force CD is a reworked compilation of two prior Shining Force games: Shining Force Gaiden and Shining Force: The Sword of Hajya. Designed for Sega CD, this strategy role-playing game centers around the protagonist, Nick, a royal-blooded hero tasked with saving Queen Anri of Gardiana and liberating the kingdom of Cypress from the malevolent Iom empire.
