Streets of Rage is a side-scrolling beat 'em up game developed and published by Sega in 1991 for the Sega Genesis. It is the inaugural title in the Streets of Rage series, later followed by sequels. The game received conversions for platforms such as Game Gear and Sega CD. It was re-released on various platforms including the Wii's Virtual Console and Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection for modern consoles.
