Castlevania: Dracula X: Akumajou Dracula XX - Visual Tweaks is a romhack for the Super Nintendo that enhances the original game's visuals. It adjusts the character's walk animation to a slower pace, aligning it more closely with Rondo of Blood, and changes the crow enemy's color from brown to dark purple for consistency with the series. This update also adds support for the NTSC-U version.
This hack provides two visual tweaks:
- Makes the walk animation slower so it is more on par with how it is in Rondo of Blood and other Castlevania games.
- Change the brown colour of the crow enemy to a dark purple, so it looks closer to how it does in Rondo of Blood.
The walk animation in this game was way too fast, and ironically made the character *feel* slower than he really is.
For the Japanese and North American versions of the game, v1.1 adds support for the NTSC-U version.

1) General Info
This is a romhack of Akumajou Dracula XX for the Super Nintendo.
It was made for the Japanese version of the game since it is the only non censored one,
though v1.1 adds support for the NTSC-U version of the game.
Untested with other versions.
It provides two visual tweaks:
- Makes the walk animation slower
- Changes the brown colour of the crow enemy to a dark purple colour
This is my favourite Castlevania, but I have no idea what they were thinking with that walk animation speed.
It is way too fast, they probably wanted to avoid the feeling of "foot sliding" of slower animation speeds, but
as a result the fast animation makes the character look like he's struggling, and ironically makes the
walking *feel* slower than it really is. It's probably the main reason why so many people claim Richter is too
slow in this game when in reality, if compared with other CV games, it's really not that much slower.
So I tweaked the animation so it's more on par with Rondo of Blood and other CV games.
As for the crow it looked very uncanny. A dark purple colour makes it look more like what it does in Rondo of Blood.
