ALPHA SPHERE: Director's Cut is a complete overhaul Horror SMW ROM Hack focused on atmosphere and puzzles. You play as Norma, a girl trying to escape a man known as Dr. Andre when she stumbles across an ancient relic. Now she must provide it a new home before the night time passes. There are 5 endings you can get, and many secrets to unravel.
Warning: This hack contains themes of suicide and implied sexual themes (nothing visual). The whole game is Red and Black, which may lead to eye sores if played for a long period of time. The hack can be very disturbing at points.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
- There is a "block" that appears in the beginning of the game that sends you back to the area you died. (If you are not sent to the intended location, just keep trying again until you make it back)
- Press START to skip the Game Over screen.
- Try talking to Dr. Andre more than once.
- Don't be afraid to run out of time.
This is v1.0.2 of the game. This update adds a secret ending and extra scenes that flesh out the world further. See the "Data Log.txt" for further details.

Thank you for those who downloaded this rom hack.
Those who don't know how to patch BPS files should
first download FLIPS from SMW Central's Tool
Section, then apply this to a clean Super Mario
World rom (if you're lucky to have one). To test
if it's applied successfully, you should see a
logo appear. If you see a title screen that is red
and black, with a weird sphere relic thingy on the
bottom, you're set, we're good, you may play. If
you just see Super Mario World with the Nintendo
logo, you're just playing the original game. Not
that it's a bad game tho, it's pretty good.
The game is in no current relation with the
Mushroom Kingdom: Beyond The Worlds series myself
and Mellonpizza established; rather, this is
intended to be it's own contained universe and a
story that's all up to interpretation. This is made
as both a practice to my coding abilities with ASM,
and to make a mysterious game with horror elements.
You are Norma, a girl looking to escape from a man
named Dr. Andre. After a suicide attempt, you
stumble across an ancient relic. With it, you must
find a new home for it before the night passes.
(How long the night lasts is represented by the
"TIME" on the Status Bar.)
Gameplay revolves around ring puzzles where you
must throw rings at resistance eyes to progress
through lasers. There are mainly two sections where
this is required, and it's also how you get one of
the endings during, to put it vaguely, a boss fight.
There are 5 endings, each found after preforming
certain criteria. There are also many secrets I have
hid throughout the time between the initial release
back at the Halloween Level Design Contest and the
Director's Cut. Most of these secrets are found by
using the Checkpoint Warp through random chance,
but some require some exploration or preforming
certain actions in various places.
