Super F1 Circus 2: Ayrton Senna Name Patch featuring Jean Alesi is a racing video game for the Super Nintendo, based on the 1993 Formula 1 season. The patch updates Ayrton Senna's name in the game, as previously it was abbreviated to avoid licensing issues. It also corrects a typographical error in Jean Alesi's name displayed during gameplay. The patch enhances the overall player experience by aligning with standard driver naming conventions.
By default, Ayrton Senna's name in the game is written under his initials for his full name, "A.S.D.S" (Ayrton Senna da Silva), possibly to skirt the licensing issues surrounding him; this makes this game, along with F-1 Grand Prix Part III, as one of two (to my knowledge) games based on the 1993 F1 season to feature the 1988 and 1990-91 World Champion (although Senna is a hidden driver you have to https://youtu.be/NDV2qXPwYB4 in F1 GP Part 3, in process also revealing another secret driver in Nelson Piquet). This patch makes Senna's name appear more explicitly and more in line of other drivers within the game's interface screens.
Version 1.0a update: Bundled a fix to Jean Alesi's in-race name (during conditions such as the game notifies that a rival racer has retired, etc) after a typo by the game's original developers was discovered there ("J.ARESI").
