Final Fantasy III: Backstabu is a fan-made patch for the Super Nintendo version of Final Fantasy III, addressing a graphical glitch where characters erroneously change orientation during certain spells. This patch ensures party members properly face their attacker when flinching from attacks such as Blow Fish and Fire Ball. It includes various file types for both headered and non-headered ROMs.
In battle, when your party members are subject to the spells Blow Fish and Fire Ball, as well as a few others, they flinch. However, they are also made to face left while flinching, even if they should normally be facing to the right. This patch ensures that your party members face the right direction.

PATCH INFORMATION:
All PS1 patches include undo data.
SNES patches work on ROM v1.0 or v1.1.
URGENCY:
Depends on you. This is purely a graphical glitch, and is therefore harmless, but you might still find it irritating.
PURPOSE:
Some enemy skills, including Lores, have animations that involve the targeted party member recoiling, similar to a standard attack. However, with a few of those skills, if that party member is facing right, they will turn around while flinching. This is clearly unintentional, so this patch ensures that your party members always take the attack in the front.
