Final Fantasy III: Dead Hare is a fan-made patch for the Super Nintendo version of Final Fantasy III that addresses a glitch involving the Nohrabbit enemy, which counters physical attacks with healing spells even after being defeated. This patch ensures that defeated enemies cannot perform any actions, enhancing gameplay integrity. Multiple patch options are available for different ROM versions.
The Nohrabbit enemy counters any physical attack against it with Cure, Cure 2 or Remedy. You may one-hit kill it with the Scimitar weapon so it dies, but then it will still counter after its death. This patch ensures that all enemies that have already died cannot counter.

PURPOSE:
There's an enemy that lurks about the area near South Figaro in the World of Ruin called the Nohrabbit. It's a unique enemy that doesn't seem to mind curing your party members' HP and status when you attack it. But that's not the issue: if you attack it with the Scimitar, and it successfully applies its "Slice" effect, the Nohrabbit will die...and then cure you from beyond the grave. Although this effect is rather minute and pretty awesome, it still defies logic. This patch fixes the glitch by preventing any enemy that has already been removed from battle by taking any actions.
