Secret of Evermore: Debug Menu is a modified version of the 1995 Super Nintendo title that includes a partially reconstructed debug menu from the game's prototype. It adds features like walking through walls and obtaining full equipment but lacks some original functions. Users must patch the game file and start a new session to access the menu, as emulator save states do not load it. The ROM size expands to 4MB with the patch.
This is the partially reconstructed debug menu as shown in the prototype of the game that was presented on E3 1995 (see https://tcrf.net/Secret_of_Evermore#Debug_Menu). Unfortunately three of the desired functions are still missing ('Create monster', 'Select map' and 'Show thud balls on path') and it remains unknown if these procedures are still in the ROM.
Use LunarIPS to patch the file. It will be extended to 4MB. You need to start a new game or load a state from SRAM (in-game loading). An emulator save state will not work because the debug menu is not loaded then.
UPDATE:
v1.0 - Initial version
v1.1 - Added possibility to 'Walk through walls' (selectable in debug menu)
v1.2 - Added 'Full equipment' to debug menu (gives all items, spells, etc.)
v1.2.1 - Add missing trade goods to full equipment (integrated in v1.2)
v1.3 - Make 'Alchemist' open the spell choose menu (so no need to talk to an alchemist to choose spells). ASM patch now extends ROM to 4MB automatically.
