Final Fantasy V: FFV Neo Difficulty is a modified version of the classic role-playing game for the Super Nintendo, aiming to enhance accessibility. It features a revised translation, new item and job descriptions, and improved enemy behavior. Players can choose from three difficulty modes: Casual, Classic, and Nightmare. The patch also adjusts battle mechanics, ensuring essential items are less likely to be missed.
A simple hack made for people who want to experience the game without the annoyances of missed items or grinding to get specifics spells.
It's aimed from people who prefer the original version without changing too much the game.
The things this patch changes are:
New Translation based on the GBA version.
Added new descriptions for jobs and items.
New difficulty enemy behavior.
Change of the Speed spell (Reset battle speed to 5) to Water (Critical damage to desert enemies).
Battle encounters give now more AP Points.
Job Abilities have been changed. You don't have to grind Monk abilities like HP +10%/HP +20%/HP +30% form mastering the job.
Chemist has !Mix command as a default Command.
And many more changes...
The only missable item known is Genji Equipment from a boss who can be found first in a Castle and made repeated appearances in the game, you have to steal this equipment from him every time you encounter him. Other missables items and magics have been relocated in stores or in enemies Drops/Steals.
Version 1.11:
Added new difficulty Mode with 3 modes: Casual, Classic and Nightmare.
Added Easy AP Mode.

There’s no known items and magic that can be missed.
So, don’t try to grind, particularly in that area to get a powerful spell.

You need to apply to an unmodified ROM Backup, select an IPS patch of your preference and apply with Lunar IPS in the "Apply Patch", and it’s done.
