* Equipment's stats, bonuses, elements, properties, etc... Have changed to resemble the weapons from the DS version
* Initial spells and spells learned by level have changed to match the ones from the DS version
* Magic's spell power, accuracy, delay, MP cost changed
* Some spells were added and/or reworked according to the DS version
* Enemy stats, AI, experience, gil, counters, etc... Have changed to resemble the enemies from the DS version
* Damage/Healing output variations has been changed from the default bonus (from 0% to 50%) to be from 0% to 25%
* The speed of dialogue in battle has been increased
* Unlimited arrows
* Relative agility formula has been changed
* Small changes on maps
* Small changes on chest's content
* Small changes on palettes
* The superboss Geryon has been added
Note:
The hack now has 2 versions, the original version (named original) and the one with a retranslation (named retranslation)
The "original" does NOT contain the new retranslation and the "retranslation" does NOT contain the patch "FF2 with FE QoL Hacks 0.2" (https://www.romhacking.net/hacks/4372/), this had to be done due to the number of incompatibilities the "FF2 with FE QoL Hacks 0.2" has with other patches. So pick the original patch if you care a bit more about those quality of life changes, pick retranslation patch if you prefer alternative dialogues.

About
=====
After playing the DS version of Final Fantasy IV you can tell a lot of differences between these games, the extra commands are much more relevant and fun to use in the DS version, most bosses are much more challenging and the game is balanced much better. So When I see the SNES version of this game I think how fun it could have been to have had some of the implementations and changes from the DS version. I knew nothing about ASM so I couldn't really do much on my own, thankfully there are tools out there to help me out. And well, after some time I started learning ASM on my own, and here I am trying to come up with this frankenstein of project.
Fog bugs, feedback, comments, and suggestions feel free to comment it in the forum or directly with me:

Alternative retranslation
=========================
Many thanks to Northener who has provided me with a patch that offers an alternative translation for this hack.
I have to clarify that due to the amount of invasive patches this game has there might be a small amount of empty textboxes in the final game.
~ Thanks for your understanding ~

Changed formulas
================
Some formulas have been modified, find the details below
Example:
(Old) first line = previous formula used in Final Fantasy II
(New) second line = new formula in Final Fantasy IV - The DSfication
(Old) Accuracy = Weapon's accuracy + (Level / 4)
(New) Accuracy = Weapon's accuracy + (Agility / 4)
(Old) Attack = Weapon's attack + (Strength / 4) + (Level / 4)
(New) Attack = Weapon's attack + (Strength / 4) + (Agility / 4)
(Old) Attack multiplier = 1 + (Strength / 8) + (Agility / 16)
(New) Attack multiplier = 1 + (Strength / 8) + (Level / 8)
(Old) Magic evasion = Equipment's magic evasion + ((Wisdom + Will) / 8)
(New) Magic evasion = Equipment's magic evasion + ((Will + Will) / 4)
(Old) Magic defense multiplier = (Wisdom + Will) / 32 + (Agility / 32)
(New) Magic defense multiplier = (Will + Will) / 32 + (Level / 32)
(Old) Spell power = (Magic's spell power x 4)
(New) Spell power = (Magic's spell power x 4) + (Level / 2)
(Old) Summon Spell power = (Magic's spell power x 8)
(New) Summon Spell power = (Magic's spell power x 4) + (Will / 2)
(Old) Relative agility formula = (Cecil's Agility x 50) / (My Agility x 10)
(New) Relative agility formula = (Cecil's Agility x 14) / (My Agility + 8)
(Old) Spells casted by a weapon use a fixed magic multiplier assigned to the respective Weapon
(New) Spells casted by a weapon use the owner's stats
(Old) Critical rate odds = (base critical rate / 98)
(Old) Base critical rate is a fixed value depending on the character. That value is doubled with a weapon equipped, and tripled with bow and arrows.
(New) Critical rate odds = (Agility / 255)
(Old) Critical bonus with 1 weapon = base critical bonus + (Weapon's attack / 2)
(Old) Critical bonus with bow and arrows = critical bonus + Arrow's attack
(Old) Critical bonus with 2 weapons or no weapons = critical bonus
(Old) Base critical bonus is a value between 0 and 60 depending on the character
(New) Critical bonus = 48
(Old) Split damage = Damage or Healing / Number of targets
(New) Split damage with 1 target = Damage or Healing / 1 (unchanged)
(New) Split damage with 2 target = Damage or Healing / 2 (unchanged)
(New) Split damage with 3 target = Damage or Healing / 2
(New) Split damage with 4 target = Damage or Healing / 3
(New) Split damage with 5 target = Damage or Healing / 3
(New) Split damage with 6 target = Damage or Healing / 4
(New) Split damage with 7 target = Damage or Healing / 4
(New) Split damage with 8 target = Damage or Healing / 5

version 1.51
* 2024/18/02
The hack now has 2 versions, the original version (1.51) and the one with retranslation (1.51 - retranslated)
The "1.51" does NOT contain the new retranslation and the "1.51 - retranslated" does NOT contain the patch "FF2 with FE QoL Hacks 0.2" (https://www.romhacking.net/hacks/4372/), this has to be done due to the number of incompatibilities the "FF2 with FE QoL Hacks 0.2" has with other patches. So pick the version 1.51 if you care a bit more about those quality of life changes, pick 1.51 - retranslated if you prefer alternative dialogues.
* The error with a door not asking for the Lugae key is only present in the 1.51 which is caused by the patch FF2 with FE QoL Hacks 0.2. The game should be fully playable with it though.
