Final Fantasy III: Final Fantasy VI Titlescreen Mod is a fan-created patch that modifies the Super Nintendo game Final Fantasy III. Developed by Yazoo for his French translation, it updates the titlescreen to reflect the original Japanese version, removes the splash screen, and restores the opening credits while omitting the translator credit. The patch requires application to a headered ROM and supports both game revisions.
This patch was created by Yazoo for his French translation of Final Fantasy VI. It replaces the Final Fantasy III title logo and copyright/license text with the original from the Japanese version. It also removes the black and white splashscreen that was displayed before the title sequence. The opening credits have also been restored to the ones from the Japanese version: the translator position has been removed.
Note: This patch comes with no documentation, but it needs to be applied to a headered ROM. It works with both revisions of Final Fantasy III.
